NEWS: WEEZY’S HOME – “Light Dreams and Nightmares” Tour + Arrest Recap

Lil’ Wayne surprised his fans and his artist, Drake, when he ran onstage to perform his verse to “Miss Me”. Drake literally jumped up and down like a kid on Christmas morning and it was adorable to see.

Nothing wrong with a man being excited about his close friend and mentor coming home from jail. Celebrity or not, jail is jail and it’s always better to be out than in.

ALSO, let’s review exactly why he went to jail this time around since there are some who feel that his homecoming is overshadowing his charges in the first place:

In ’07, Wayne’s tour bus got pulled over in NYC after the police smelled weed coming from it. After a search, weed and a .40 caliber pistol was found and he later pled guilty to attempted criminal possession of a weapon even though the gun was legal since it was registered to Cortez Bryant, his manager. As a person with a few blemishes on their record, Wayne cannot be around any drugs or weapons. Why he wasn’t charged with possession of marijuana is beyond me; shit doesn’t make any sense but hey, I’m not the law.

The point is, we get why he was arrested and yet we’re STILL happy he’s home. If you don’t care, that’s fine and dandy. Ain’t hurtin’ my feelings none whatsoever. No shade; I’m just sayin’.

Welcome home, Weezy.
