WHILE WE WERE OUT: KEVIN COSSOM & LUKE JAMES PERFORM AT SOBs

Wednesday night, New York City’s infamous SOBs was rockin’ as NARS artists KEVIN COSSOM and LUKE JAMES brought the house down in a showcase sponsored by NARS Records. RCA Records signee KEVIN COSSOM enthusiastically warmed up the crowd with songs like “Overflow”, “Motivated By The Body”, and his latest release “Love Thru The Speaker”; his appreciation of those who came before him shone through his rendition of R. Kelly’s “Your Body’s Callin'” and there wasn’t a single woman in the place who wasn’t appreciative of this number. His smokey tone formed to the lyrics he sang perfectly; it’s safe to assume that Kevin earned a few new fans by the end of his set

The man of the hour, LUKE JAMES, has gained a reputation of giving flawless vocal performances live and he was sure to not disappoint. His stage show is lively and he did a wonderful job of not remaining in the precut “R&B lane”; his music style varies and Luke did a wonderful job of varying his performance style with each song. Running through old school favorites by classic artists like Prince, Mint Condition, and Marvin Gaye, it is clearly evident that he is looking to revive the soul that R&B music has been missing. His soul stirring tribute to music’s fallen angel, Whitney Houston, sent chills through everyone but it was his performance of his current single, “I Want You”, that had everyone on their feet. Luke James is a problem; point blank period.

Enjoy the videos below of these two young men slaughtering whoever their competition is in this industry.
